Vorwort: Nach dem Erlass des Krankenversicherungsgesetztes vom 15. Juni 1883 wurden 1884 Gemeinsame Ortskrankenkassen in Coburg, Neustadt bei Coburg, Rodach, Mönchröden, und Sonnefeld, wo seit 1873 ein Krankenunterstützungsverein bestand, errichtet. Gemäß dem 2. Buch der Reichsversicherungsordnung vom 19. Juli 1911 wurden die Anstalten in Allgemeine Ortskrankenkassesn umbenannt und zusätzlich in Meeder eine neue begründet. Alle Anstalten wurden am 1. Januar 1935 in der Allgemeinen Ortskrankenkasse Coburg zusammengefasst.
Die 1883 eingerichteten Coburgischen Ortskrankenkassen wurden 1935 in der Allgemeinen Ortskrankenkasse (AOK) Coburg zusammengefasst. Der Bestand enthält nur Personalakten und Jahresrechnungen.
The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.
