Bestandsgeschichte: Zugänge ab 1905.
Geschichte des Bestandsbildners: Das Amtsgericht Usingen wurde 1867 errichtet und unterstand dem Kreisgericht Limburg, ab 1879 dem Landgericht Wiesbaden und ab 1.4.1923 dem Landgericht Frankfurt. Es umfasste zunächst das ehemalige Amt Usingen (Abt. 242). Am 1.10.1879 wurden die Gemeinden Nieder- und Oberreifenberg dem Amtsgericht Königstein (Abt. 469/16) und am 1.10.1893 die Gemeinden Haintchen und Hasselbach dem Amtsgericht Camberg (Abt. 469/14) zugewiesen. 1943 wurde das Amtsgericht Zweigstelle des Amtsgerichts Bad Homburg, am 1.5.1947 aber wieder als Vollgericht hergestellt. 1945 waren jedoch fünf Gemeinden dem Amtsgericht Wetzlar (Abt. 469/36) zugeteilt worden. Am 1.7.1968 kamen aus dem Amtsgerichtsbezirk Idstein (Abt. 469/13) vier Gemeinden hinzu.

BZK no.
The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.
