Vorwort: D Rep. 856 - Brücke-Museum
1. Institutionsgeschichte
Das Brücke-Museum wurde 1964 mit einer Schenkung des Brücke-Künstlers Karl-Schmidt-Rottluff gegründet. Werner Düttmann entwarf den dazugehörigen Neubau in Berlin Dahlem, in dem das Museum drei Jahre später, 1967 entstand. Seit Beginn ist das Brücke-Museum eine nachgeordnete Einrichtung der Berliner Kulturverwaltung. Auch Erich Heckel, ebenfalls ein Künstler der Brücke-Vereinigung, unterstützte die Sammlung mit einer Schenkung von 900 Werken im Jahr 1966. Als er 1970 verstarb, stiftete seine Witwe Siddi Heckel weitere Werke. Auch Freund*innen der Künstlergruppe wie Max Kaus und Emy Roeder schenkten Kunstwerke und trugen so zum Aufbau dieses Spezialmuseums für die Brücke-Künstler und deren Umfeld bei.
Geleitet wurde das Museum anfänglich von Leopold Reidemeister bis zu seinem Tod 1987. Es folgte Eberhard Roters als kommissarische Leitung und 1988 Magdalena M. Moeller. Seit Oktober 2017 ist Lisa Marei Schmidt Direktorin des Brücke-Museums.
2.Bestandsgeschichte
im Sommer 2021 erhielt das Landesarchiv eine erste Lieferung von Ausstellungsmaterialien des Museums aus dem Zeitraum ca. 1990 bis 2021. Plakate und Publikationen sollten noch folgen.

The Bundeszentralkartei (BZK) is the central register of the federal government and federal states for completed compensation proceedings. When a claim is entered into the BZK, a number is assigned for unique identification. This BZK number refers to a compensation claim, not to a person. If a person has made several claims (e.g. for themselves and for relatives), each claim generally has its own BZK number. Often, the file number of the respective compensation authority is used as the BZK number.
This number is important for making an inquiry to the relevant archive.

In the sources, the persecuted person is sometimes referred to as ‘Geschädigter’ (aggrieved party) and the applicant as ‘Anspruchsberechtigter’(claimant).
